Hello Chinook Community,

The gyms at both schools will be closed effective Monday morning for floor resurfacing. They will remain closed until August 15th. We will use this time to re-issue gym access agreements. All Fobs will be disabled effective Sunday at midnight. You can come to the school beginning August 11th to sign a new facility use agreement and have your Fob activated.

Grades 6-12 Fall Athletes, there will be a mandatory parent meeting on August 11th at 7:00pm in the Auditorium. Please bring all completed physicals with you at that time. Be prepared to complete additional paperwork while you are here for the meeting. See you then!

Notice: The Chinook School District is accepting sealed bids for a 1990 Blue Bird 32 passenger school bus. The bus has 88959 miles and is a 6-speed manual transmission. Please contact the school at 406-357-2236 to arrange for a viewing. Sealed bids must be received at the high school office, 528 Ohio Street, Chinook, MT, by 4:00pm on August 12, 2025. The Board will announce the winning bid at the regular meeting on August 12, 2025.

Mark your calendars! Fall Sports Parent Meeting is August 11th at 7:00pm in the Auditorium for grades 6-12.

First Bank is giving away school supplies for students in grades K-6 on July 23 from 5:15-6:15 or while supplies last.

Hello Chinook Community, The High School and Meadowlark has lost phones and internet due to the sewer construction project. We anticipate to be up and running by tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon. Thank you for your understanding.

Help Wanted: The Chinook School District is seeking an assistant business manager / assistant clerk to work in the high school office. The position is scheduled to be 30-36 hours per week and comes with health insurance and retirement benefits. The school operates on a 4-day week and the wage is based upon prior experience. Any interested persons should contact Mr. Hofman or Amanda Miller at the school: (406) 357-2236, Monday through Thursday between 8:30 - 3:30.

Budget Adoption Notice: The Chinook Board of Trustees will meet on Tuesday, August 12th at 7:00 pm for their regular monthly board meeting. The board will consider, among other things, the adoption of their final district budget, although the meeting may be continued day-to-day until the final adoption takes place. Any taxpayer in the district may appear at the meeting and be heard for or against any part of the budget.
