Fall Sports Parent Meeting: August 13th @ 7:00 in the Auditorium
Concussion Baseline Testing: August 17th 6:00-8:00 in the Auditorium
Fall Sports Picture Day: August 31

2026-2027 Activity Pass: $35 for students, $140 for families
2026-2027 Pay-To-Play: $35 per activity

We will be accepting credit and debit cards this year at the parent meeting for those wishing to pay their fees using a card.

Chinook Junior High School Supply List

Hello Chinook Families,
If you are in grades 6-9 or a high schooler who did not get a sports physical last school year, you will need a sports physical prior to the start of practices on August 14th. The form is at this link: https://aptg.co/7MmzN2

If you are in grades 10-12 and had a sports physical last year you only need to complete this form prior to practices on August 14th. https://aptg.co/HnKY7y

The front door of the high school is closed so we can wax the front hallway. If you need to come to the school office, please use the south door. It will be unlocked today from 9:00-4:00. The high school office will be closed on Friday, 7/31,2026.

The High School and Meadowlark Gymnasiums are CLOSED August 1-14 for floor maintenance. No public or school groups are allowed on the gym floor during this time.

Monday, July 27th Junior High Football @ 6:00pm, High School Football @ 7:00pm
Tuesday, July 28th High School Volleyball @ 6:00pm, Junior High Volleyball 7:00pm
Cross Country can choose either night to come for baseline testing. Siblings can also come on the same night even if they are on different teams. The front door will be unlocked at 5:50pm. Report to the Junior High Wing.

The Chinook School District would like to announce the retirement of Mrs. Susan Erskine. Throughout her career many students were able to find support and care as they worked through their academic challenges with Mrs. Erskine as their guide. We wish her the best in retirement and know she will enjoy following her grandkids around the state as they compete in athletics. Thank you again Mrs. Erskine for all you have done for the students, district, and community. Happy Retirement!

Junior High Football Coaches needed. If we do not have coaches in place by the August Board meeting (Aug. 11), we will need to cancel our season. If you have any interest, please call Mr. Rayburn at 406-596-0228.

Cross Country Summer Workouts.

Open gym for Boys basketball for grades 5-8 is from 5:00-6:00 tonight. Please note the change in end time.

Hello Chinook Community, Today we had a staff email account get hijacked and it sent emails asking for a reference check. Since this morning another email account through the school was hijacked sending an identical email looking for a reference check. These are scam emails. The school and its employees are not sending reference check requests. Do not click on the link in the email. If you did click on the link in the email you should clear your browsing history, delete your cookies, and reset your email password.

The Chinook School Office will be closed for the week of June 15-June 19 for the office staff to attend the annual Montana Association of School Business Officials meeting. We are available by email during this time. The office will resume regular summer hours on June 22nd.
